    ### Rubber-Cased Marine Handheld Spotlight, 12V 100W with Plug and Deck Socket

A handheld spotlight provides flexible aiming when the task moves around the boat. This rubber-cased model is intended to be held and directed by the operator, making it a different choice from a permanently mounted, motorised searchlight. The grip and protected switch suit a practical working arrangement, while the supplied plug and socket provide a dedicated connection point. Think about where the operator will stand and how the lead will reach that position before deciding where to install the socket or store the light between uses.

### Choosing and using this product

Check that the boat has a suitable supply and circuit protection for a halogen spotlight of this rating. The included socket does not remove the need to size the wiring correctly for the complete cable run and electrical load. Position the connection where the lead can reach the intended working area without crossing a boarding route, stretching around sharp corners or lying near moving machinery. Keep the lead clear of the water and secure it when the light is stored. A halogen lamp can become hot, so allow it to cool before packing it away or handling the bulb area. The water-resistant casing is useful around spray but should not be treated as permission to submerge the light or its connection. Direct the beam carefully to avoid dazzling nearby boat operators or people on a jetty. Use the hanging hook and a suitable storage location so the lamp is readily accessible and cannot roll around the cockpit.
