Purpleline SARACEN Trailer Hitch Lock Boat Hardware Parts
Add a visible security measure at the hitch with the Purpleline Saracen trailer hitch lock. It is intended to help prevent unauthorised towing and is listed for most boat trailers, caravans, camper trailers and general-purpose trailers.
Specially hardened high-strength steel is designed to resist cutting and drilling. The seven-pin barrel lock adds resistance to picking, drilling and gas-freezing attack. These are resistance features, not a claim that the lock cannot be defeated.
The Saracen acts at the coupling, making hitch compatibility the key selection check. Compare the coupling profile and operating clearance with the lock before ordering; the broad trailer categories do not establish fitment to every coupling.
Choose this standard Saracen model by its product code. Do not assume it has every fitment feature of the separately listed Saracen Ultra or that a wheel clamp is included. The listed product is the hitch lock.
Choosing and using this product
Include the attachment points in routine boat inspections. Keep moving or seating surfaces clear where applicable, and follow the product’s care instructions for its material and finish. Retaining the size and part code is useful when replacing another fitting elsewhere on the boat.
The listed material, finish and dimensions help you select a version that suits the job and surrounding fittings. Measure the actual location rather than relying on a familiar-looking shape. Small differences in projection or spacing can change how comfortably the completed arrangement works.
Check the stated supply quantity and inclusions when ordering. Some listings describe an individual component, while others supply a pair, pack or complete assembly. Match any additional fixings and supporting parts to the installation requirements rather than assuming they accompany the visible fitting.
