    ### 316 Stainless Fuel and Water Sender | American, 150mm | Boating Supplies

316 Stainless Fuel and Water Sender - American, 150mm (RWB8910) is a replacement or installation option for the matching marine system. 316-grade stainless steel tank level sender supplied with wiring, gasket and fastenings.

Length: 150mm. Resistance: 240-33 ohms. Voltage: 12/24V.

### Choosing and using this product

Tank depth and electrical resistance are the two main checks when selecting a sender. Measure the available internal depth at the mounting point, allowing for the tank shape and clearance specified by the installation instructions. The sender must not be chosen from the outside tank height alone. Compare its stated length with the old unit and confirm that the mounting arrangement is suitable before disturbing the existing seal.

Match the resistance range to the gauge already fitted. European 0–190 ohm and American 240–33 ohm systems use different signals; selecting the correct supply voltage does not make the two ranges interchangeable. If replacing both parts, check the sender and gauge specifications together. Label the wiring before removal and follow the supplied connection information rather than relying on wire colours from a previous installation.

Use the appropriate tank application as a separate selection check. A fuel or fresh-water sender and a waste sender should not be substituted simply because they have the same length. Position the wiring where it can be inspected and protected from chafing. Keep the sealing surfaces clean and fit the gasket and fastenings in accordance with the tank and sender instructions.

After installation, inspect the mounting area for leakage and verify the indication against a known tank level before depending on the reading. An unusual tank shape can affect the relationship between level and usable volume. Keep a record of the sender length and resistance range with the boat’s maintenance information so a later replacement can be matched accurately.
