    ### 316 Stainless 3/4in Barbed Through-Hull Skin Fitting with Nut for Marine Use

This cast 316 grade stainless steel skin fitting combines a through-hull body with a barbed hose tail for a direct hose connection. Its extra-long form includes a lock nut and internal lugs for holding the fitting during installation. This version is listed for hose with a 3/4 inch internal diameter. That hose measurement is the important comparison for the barbed end; it should not be treated as the outside diameter of the hose or the hull cut-out. The hose-tail layout is useful when the planned plumbing connects to flexible hose on the inside of the hull. The extra length is a construction feature, but it does not by itself confirm suitability for a particular hull thickness or backing arrangement. Check the actual installation space and connection details before selecting it.

### Choosing and using this product

Plan the complete hose route before making a hull opening or removing an existing fitting. Measure the hose internally and check its condition, construction and compatibility with the intended water system. Confirm the fitting length, mounting-hole requirements and clearance for the retaining nut with the supplier when these dimensions are needed for the job. Allow enough straight hose at the tail for a sound connection without putting sideways strain on the fitting. Select suitable hose clamps for the assembled hose outside diameter and the available clamping area, following the hose and fitting installation requirements. The stainless steel body does not establish a pressure rating or universal suitability for every onboard system. For any below-waterline position, have the complete arrangement assessed by a competent marine installer, including the need for a suitable valve and access to it. Once fitted, inspect the hull joint and hose connection for leakage and make sure they remain accessible for regular checks.
