    ## 304 Stainless Eye Plate - Size D: 8 mm

Provide a fixed eye on a mounting plate with this 304 stainless steel fitting. The eye is welded to the plate, and four countersunk fastening holes are already drilled.

This model has a material diameter of 8 mm and dimension H of 33 mm. The remaining dimensions are listed below for comparison with adjoining hardware.

### A defined attachment point on a mounting surface

An eye or ring on a base plate provides a convenient way to position a connection where the mounting surface permits. The plate footprint determines the space required, while the eye or ring dimensions determine what can be attached. Consider the complete fitted shape, including any movement of a ring, when choosing its position.

Check access behind the mounting area and select a fixing arrangement appropriate to the structure. Countersunk hole sizes, where specified, should be matched to the chosen fasteners. Leave room to connect and remove the adjoining hardware without contacting nearby trim. During maintenance, inspect the mounting points and contact surfaces together, and check folding components through their intended movement where fitted.

### Selection details

Compare the plate dimensions and eye clearances with the intended location. Check the hole dimension before selecting fasteners, then assess the suggested working load with the mounting arrangement. The fitting and the supporting surface need to be considered together.

The suggested working load is 400 kg. It is approximately 25% of ultimate breaking load; breaking load must not be used as an operating load.

For a replacement installation, measure the existing mounting position before removing the old fitting. Record the hole pattern or thread, the available depth and the space around the attachment point. This helps distinguish a like-for-like replacement from a fitting that would require changes to the surrounding structure or connecting hardware.
