    ### Outboard Motor Flusher - Rectangular 122 x 83mm PVC Muffs | Boat Equipment

Spring-steel frame with water-supply connection for an Australian quick-connect garden hose.

A hose-connected motor flusher places water supply muffs over compatible outboard cooling-water intakes for the flushing procedure specified by the engine manufacturer.

### Choosing and using this product

Identify the position and shape of every cooling-water intake before selecting a flusher. Compare the muff dimensions with the intake area and check that the frame can reach around the gearcase. Some outboards require a different connection or additional intake sealing; muff size alone does not establish compatibility with a particular engine.

Fit the muffs centrally so the sealing faces cover the intended openings. Connect the garden hose securely and follow the engine instructions for water pressure, water supply sequence and whether the engine should be running or stopped. Never run an engine without the cooling-water supply required by its manufacturer, and do not improvise a procedure for an unfamiliar model.

Keep the propeller area clear and remain beside the engine throughout the flushing operation. Check that the muffs have not moved and that the hose cannot pull the frame out of position. Stop promptly if the arrangement leaks excessively, the engine indicates overheating or the specified water flow cannot be established.

After flushing, disconnect and drain the hose and flusher. Rinse salt from the frame and inspect the muff faces for splits, hardening or distortion that could affect the next fit. Store the assembly without stretching the frame or crushing the sealing surfaces. A reliable seal and correct engine procedure are more important than choosing a flusher simply by its appearance.

Keep the product identification with the boat’s maintenance records and check the installation after the first use. If the intended arrangement differs from the supplied instructions, resolve the compatibility question before putting the equipment into service.
