    ### Multiflex SC16 Universal Steering Cable - 19ft (5.79m)

Replace a compatible mechanical steering cable with the Multiflex SC16 in the selected length. The heavy-duty universal design is listed as a replacement for Ultraflex M66, Teleflex SSC62 and SSC92, and older Morse D345 cables.

This version is specified as 19ft (5.79m). Use these exact details when comparing the available options for your installation.

The replacement family and cable length are separate compatibility checks. Confirm the existing cable identification and helm connection, then measure the required route. An adaptor arrangement is listed for older double-nut helms, so check whether that additional part is needed.

For an existing cable, measure the coloured conduit in centimetres, add 56 cm, divide by 30.5 and round up to the next whole foot. Use the current fitting instructions to confirm the measurement method for the actual installation.

The SC16 is a steering cable rather than a throttle-and-shift control cable. Match it to the mechanical steering system, and consider the bends and engine-end connection when assessing length. The selected product supplies the cable; a complete helm-and-cable kit is a separate listing.

For a new cable route, the published method adds the route sections, subtracts 10 cm for each 90-degree bend and adds 30.5 cm when passing through the engine tilt tube. Convert the result to feet using 30.5 cm per foot and round up. The mounting method therefore affects length selection, even when the helm and engine positions appear similar.

The nominal 19-foot length corresponds to 5.7912 metres. Measure the full routed path and identify the connection type before selecting this length; extra cable length does not compensate for an incompatible end fitting.
