The polyurethane wiper seals incorporate lubricant to minimise friction at the cable ends. This complements the conduit design, but correct routing remains important: keep bends as broad as practical and minimise the number of changes in direction.
The specified minimum bend radius is four inches. Treat that as a lower limit for the cable curve, rather than a target for every bend. Plan the route around the actual control box, engine connection and available space, and follow the fitting requirements for the selected cable type.
Cable length does not determine end-fitting compatibility. The Universal, C5, C14, Gen 2 and C16 families serve different applications, so confirm the exact family before ordering. Check the existing cable identification and both connection points, then select the required length within that family.
At replacement time, check whether the existing cable family is correct for both the engine and the control box before using its length as a guide. Keep the fittings, operating movement and routed length together in the selection process. A change of engine or control can alter the cable requirement even when the physical route remains similar.
The nominal 13-foot length corresponds to 3.9624 metres. Measure the full routed path and identify the connection type before selecting this length; extra cable length does not compensate for an incompatible end fitting.
