Motor Starter Cord - 4.0mm x 100m
Keep replacement starter cord available with this 4.0 mm × 100 m reel. The white polyester cord has a plaited, hard-lay construction and is intended for motor-starter applications requiring the stated diameter.
The 4.0 mm diameter should match the starter mechanism’s requirement. Compare the original cord and equipment specification before selecting a replacement; the other diameter in the range is a separate size.
The 100 m reel provides a supply from which the required service length can be selected. Determine that length from the motor or starter instructions rather than assuming the whole reel represents a single replacement.
The plaited polyester construction is specified for strength and abrasion resistance, but no breaking-load value is provided. This is motor starter cord and should not be assigned a lifting or load-restraint capacity.
Choosing and using this product
Plan where the line will run and where it may contact an edge or fitting. Keep the route and end connections accessible for inspection, and follow the product’s care guidance. After use, organise the line so it can be taken out without tangling with neighbouring equipment.
Measure the complete requirement before comparing coils or reels. Check whether the listing supplies a cut length, a full roll or a finished line with an end fitting. The end treatment can be an important difference when replacing an existing line.
Use the stated material and any supplied load information for the intended application. A breaking-strain figure is not the same as a working-load limit for the finished arrangement. Knots, terminations, wear and the surrounding equipment need to be considered when selecting the complete system.
Choose the line by construction, diameter and supplied length together. Those details influence handling and how it fits the intended fittings or storage space. A rope selected for anchoring may have different requirements from a line used for a cover, general lashing or another specified task.
