Keep engine speed in view at the helm with the KUS Tacho Gauge - White - 0-8000rpm - 85mm. A dedicated tachometer gives you an engine-speed reading in revolutions per minute. Match its application and scale to the engine before replacing an existing instrument.
This white 85 mm version lets you coordinate the instrument with the surrounding panel and neighbouring gauges. Check the mounting drawing for the required opening and rear clearance; the stated gauge dimension should not be assumed to be a complete installation drawing.
The 8000 rpm version should be selected against the engine’s intended operating range. Its scale does not set an engine-speed limit: use the engine manufacturer’s guidance when interpreting the reading and deciding on an appropriate operating speed.
The 0–8000 rpm scale is paired with an integrated hour meter, bringing engine-speed monitoring and a running-hours reference into one instrument. The hour record is useful when keeping service notes and checking the engine manufacturer’s maintenance intervals.
The gauge is selectable for inboard or outboard operation, with instructions included for choosing the required option. Follow that selection procedure for your engine and check the available tachometer signal before fitting. The stated 12/24 V specification gives the electrical-system options for this gauge; signal setup still needs to match the installation.
For a dashboard refit, compare the scale with your usual operating range and the other instruments you intend to retain. Position the gauge where the pointer and hour display can be read from the normal driving position, while allowing access to the connections behind the panel. Record the engine hours as part of your service records rather than treating a new gauge as an existing engine’s complete history.
