Bring a dedicated speed display to your boat’s dashboard with the KUS GPS Speedo Gauge - Black - 0-60 Knots - 85mm. Choose a speedometer by its sensing method as well as its display scale. A pitot instrument and a GPS instrument use different inputs, so the existing installation matters when selecting a replacement.
This black 85 mm version lets you coordinate the instrument with the surrounding panel and neighbouring gauges. Check the mounting drawing for the required opening and rear clearance; the stated gauge dimension should not be assumed to be a complete installation drawing.
An external 32-channel GPS receiver is included, supplying the speed signal without a speed input from the vessel. This separates speed measurement from a pitot pickup arrangement and is useful when planning the instrument and receiver locations together.
Because the speed information comes from GPS, consider this instrument as a receiver-and-display installation when laying out the helm. Make room for both parts and their connections, rather than checking only whether the face of the gauge fits the panel.
Alongside speed, this GPS instrument provides compass-heading information. Choose the specified knot scale to suit the readings you need at the helm, and allow for installation of the separate receiver when assessing dashboard space.
The gauge is specified for 12/24 V installations. Before a refit, check the supply, mounting details and receiver cable route together.
