    ### GME AE346V Antenna and Base - 1.8m - VHF

The AE346V combines a 1.8 m VHF antenna with its base in a ground-independent design. Matching identifiers help distinguish the correct assembly where different radio bands are installed together. Select the VHF version by code, even though the related 27 MHz model has a matched appearance.

### Choosing and using this product

Allow clearance for the full antenna length and any intended lowering or swivel movement. Consider the route through nearby structures and the space needed to access the base. For a replacement whip, confirm the connection to the existing base separately.

For this version, length: 1.8m. Use that specific detail when comparing the item with your existing equipment or planned installation. Other sizes and configurations in the range should be checked separately rather than treated as equivalent.

Check the installation requirements for the stated antenna design, particularly any ground-plane requirement. The intended mounting surface and cable route should be established before selecting a base or whip for a refit.

For this version, colour-matched identifiers on whip and base help return each whip to the correct base. Use that specific detail when comparing the item with your existing equipment or planned installation. Other sizes and configurations in the range should be checked separately rather than treated as equivalent.

Follow the radio and antenna guidance for cable routing, connections and installation checks. Keep the cable and base accessible where practical for future inspection. Review the listed contents so a whip-only purchase is not mistaken for a complete antenna-and-base assembly.

Keep the fitted antenna and base model references together in the boat’s records. That information is useful when replacing a damaged whip or choosing a compatible mounting component later.
