Gelcoat Repair Putty Kit 500ml
Gelcoat Repair Putty Kit — product code 516218. Tidy up chipped or scratched gelcoat on fibreglass products with this 500ml Gelcoat Repair Putty Kit. It is a targeted repair option for damage to the gelcoat surface.
Catalyst is included with this kit. Check the condition and extent of the repair, then follow the kit instructions for preparation and mixing. Its gelcoat-repair purpose should be distinguished from general laminating resin or brush gelcoat used in a mould.
This listing is the 500ml version. Check this size and variant when comparing it with the other options in the range.
Choosing and using this product
Keep the original label and instructions with any remaining material, and follow the stated storage requirements. Note the exact product reference when matching a later maintenance purchase. Using the intended product for each stage makes the process easier to plan and repeat.
Prepare the surface using the product’s own directions and check compatibility in the recommended way. Allow for any specified drying, curing or finishing stages when planning the job. Avoid adding an unsupported cure time or dilution ratio from a different product.
Choose the product for the stated surface and job before comparing container sizes. Cleaning, polishing, sealing and repairing are different processes, and a product intended for one material should not automatically be applied to another. Read the product label before starting the work.
Plan the area to be treated and check any stated coverage or mixing information. Container volume alone does not establish how much work can be completed, because application method and surface condition can change the amount required. Buy the size appropriate to the planned task.
Check the package contents when buying a kit or repair product. Resin, hardener, cloth, applicators and preparation materials are not interchangeable, and not every listing includes a complete set. Identify any separately required items before beginning the repair.
