    ### Marine Bakelite Terminal Block - 8 Gang, 108 x 23mm, 20A

RWB2870 offers eight junction positions in a moulded terminal block, giving a defined connection point when organising a larger group of electrical wires.

Moulded bakelite junction block with nickel-plated contacts for electrical wiring.

### Choosing and using this product

A terminal block creates an orderly junction for electrical wiring where individual cable connections need to remain accessible. Consider it behind a serviceable instrument panel or within an appropriate electrical enclosure when renewing a wiring loom or joining sections of an accessory circuit. Its defined connection positions make it easier to plan the layout and identify wires during later maintenance.

Count the required junction positions before selecting the gang size. Compare the listed footprint with the available mounting area, then allow extra room for the cable ends, connection tools and bends in the wiring. The current rating needs to be considered together with the cable size and the protected circuit's requirements. For a replacement, inspect the existing terminal arrangement and confirm how the conductors are connected before removing them.

As installation guidance, label each wire and make a simple record of the junction layout. Choose an accessible position that suits the surrounding electrical protection and enclosure arrangement. Keep cable runs supported so their weight or movement does not load the terminal connections. Route the conductors neatly and avoid crowding the block with loose wire ends or sharply bent insulation.

Isolate the relevant power supply before connecting or changing wiring. Use terminations appropriate to the actual connection hardware, and check the security and separation of the finished connections before returning the circuit to service. During periodic inspections, look for loose fittings, damaged insulation or signs of heat at the junction. Maintaining clear labels helps when troubleshooting lighting, instrumentation or other accessory wiring, provided the chosen block and circuit ratings suit that application. Keep the wiring record with the vessel's other electrical information.
