    ### Cool White Marine Waterproof Mini LED Light, 12V, 38mm Face, Threaded, RWB980

A small threaded light is useful where the boat needs a discreet point of illumination and there is access behind the mounting surface. This mini fitting can be worked into an exterior courtesy, stairway or livewell lighting layout without the footprint of a larger dome or cockpit light. The retaining nut and gaskets make the front and rear of the installation equally important. Choose the position around the surface you want to illuminate and the available panel thickness, rather than simply selecting a convenient visible spot.

### Choosing and using this product

Inspect the rear of the proposed mounting area before making an opening. You need room for the threaded body, retaining nut and wiring, together with access to tighten and inspect the installation. The face diameter is not necessarily the hole diameter, so use the actual fitting and installation instructions to establish the required opening. Position the light so it illuminates the nearby surface without presenting an uncomfortable bright point to someone approaching the area. In a livewell or similarly wet location, follow the product’s installation instructions and protect the electrical connections appropriately; do not assume the attached wires or a separate join have the same protection as the sealed LED. Take care when tightening against thin or flexible material and avoid trapping the wiring. Match the voltage to the light and provide an appropriate switched, protected supply. After installation, check the retaining arrangement and seals, then inspect them periodically with the surrounding fittings.
