    ### Braided Chain Sleeve - 100m

This braided sleeve is designed to encase 6 mm short-link anchor chain. It helps reduce chain noise and keeps the covered section from scraping against the boat or deck during handling.

Choose the supplied sleeve length for the section of chain you need to cover. The listing is for the sleeve, with compatibility limited to the stated chain size. Check the installation and any winch clearances before fitting; the sleeve is not a chain-strength upgrade.

### Choosing and using this product

Select shackles and joining components around the actual links and the equipment at both ends. Keep access available for fitting and inspecting those connections. Do not assume that an unlisted load capacity can be derived from the chain’s material or appearance.

For this version, length (m): 100m. Use that specific detail when comparing the item with your existing equipment or planned installation. Other sizes and configurations in the range should be checked separately rather than treated as equivalent.

For a replacement section, compare the old and new chain before assembly, particularly if it will pass through equipment. Follow that equipment’s specification for chain size and calibration where applicable. Arrange stored chain so it can be handled without tangling adjoining rope or fittings.

The sales format is particularly important for this product group. A per-metre listing, a pre-cut section and a drum represent different supplied quantities. Calculate the complete requirement before ordering and check whether any connecting hardware is included.

Keep the chain’s size, material and supply reference with the boat’s records. During routine inspections, check the ends and any join as well as the main run. That information makes later replacement purchases easier to match to the original installation.

Compare the wire diameter, link dimensions and supplied length when choosing chain. Link geometry affects how the chain fits adjoining hardware, so nominal diameter alone may not establish compatibility with an existing arrangement or a chain-handling device.
