AXIS Waist Belt 100 MK2 Manual Inflatable PFD
Keep your boating or fishing outfit less restricted with the AXIS Waist Belt 100 MK2. This adult multifit inflatable is carried around the waist, leaving the upper body clear while the jacket is packed. Its comfort-fit design makes it a distinctive option for customers specifically seeking a waist-belt format.
The way this model is worn and deployed is essential to your choice. The jacket must be pulled out of its bag, placed over the head and inflated. It only functions as a PFD when the jacket itself is being worn; carrying the packed belt does not provide the same protection. Familiarise yourself with the complete operating instructions before going afloat.
Inflation uses a UML Micro manual operating system with a 25 g gas cylinder. Oral backup inflation is also provided. The 100 N buoyancy rating and AS4758.1 approval identify the jacket’s stated specification, while the manual mechanism distinguishes it from automatic inflatable models. Select this product for its particular operating format, rather than assuming every inflatable lifejacket works in the same way.
The waist-carried format is the key buying distinction: make sure the wearer understands the extra step of taking out and putting on the jacket before inflation.
Choosing and using this product
Choose the fit around the actual wearer and the clothing normally worn afloat. A size label is only part of that decision: compare any listed body-weight or chest range, then check how the jacket sits when its straps are adjusted. Children and adults need the size specified for them.
