AXIS Sea Anchor - A: 50cm
The AXIS sea anchor is designed to control boat movement and reduce wind drift. Its tough PVC body is reinforced with webbing, providing a purpose-made drogue-style accessory for managing movement while resting or fishing. It is supplied in a PVC display bag.
Select this version by its A and B dimensions and approximate boat-size guidance. A sea anchor manages drift through the water; it is not a seabed anchor. Match the size and deployment arrangement to the vessel rather than assuming every model suits the same boat or operating conditions.
Choosing and using this product
Plan how the equipment will be reached, deployed and secured when not in use. Keep the connections accessible for inspection and follow the relevant anchoring-equipment instructions. A storage position should accommodate the complete assembly without trapping the rope beneath other gear.
If the listing is a kit, compare every stated component and length with your requirement. Rope, chain and shackles can differ between packages that use a similar anchor. Accessories mentioned as matching parts should be treated separately unless they are expressly included.
After use, inspect the anchor and connecting components together. Look for wear or damage at the attachment points and keep the selected sizes with the boat’s equipment records. This makes it easier to replace a worn component while maintaining the intended arrangement.
An anchoring purchase is best considered as part of the complete arrangement. Review the anchor type, the intended bottom conditions and the boat’s existing rope, chain and fittings. The anchor’s nominal mass is one selection point, alongside its shape and the space available to stow it.
For a bow fitting or anchor accessory, check the actual anchor and mounting arrangement rather than relying on the name of the style alone. Clearance, pin size and the way the parts sit together can affect whether the selected version is appropriate.
