AXIS Nylon Dog Flotation Device - Large
The large AXIS DFD lists 13.5-27 kg with a 58-78 cm chest and 40-50 cm length. Measure your dog before selecting the garment, as weight alone does not establish a suitable body fit.
Use the chest measurement and weight range together when checking fit, adding the stated body length where provided. This is a dog flotation device, so human PFD ratings should not be inferred from its appearance or the AXIS name. Assess the fit on the dog and follow the product instructions for use.
Choosing and using this product
The buoyancy level and the way the jacket operates are separate selection points. Read the listed operating method carefully and ensure the wearer understands it. Where inflation is required, familiarity with the activation sequence matters just as much as having the jacket available aboard.
When buying several jackets, plan sizes for the people who will use them rather than selecting every jacket by one nominal adult size. Keep each model reference with the boat’s equipment records so that subsequent care, replacement and servicing enquiries can be made accurately.
A moulded fitting should be compared by its actual shape and connection details, not only its nominal size. Check the available clearance and the condition of the adjoining component. Use the listed application when deciding where it belongs in the boat’s equipment arrangement.
Choose the fit around the actual wearer and the clothing normally worn afloat. A size label is only part of that decision: compare any listed body-weight or chest range, then check how the jacket sits when its straps are adjusted. Children and adults need the size specified for them.
For this version, size: Large. Use that specific detail when comparing the item with your existing equipment or planned installation. Other sizes and configurations in the range should be checked separately rather than treated as equivalent.
