AXIS Bambino PFD - XS Child - Level 100
The XS Bambino pairs a 10-15 kg wearer range with a 35-50 cm chest measurement. Its buoyant collar and adjustable neoprene crutch support are useful design details to assess when choosing this Level 100 child size.
The Bambino family is designed for young children aged approximately one to four, but size selection must follow the stated weight and chest measurements. A large buoyant collar, reflective patches and lifting handle are paired with two 25 mm securing straps. Wide adjustable neoprene crutch support completes the fitting arrangement. Check the child in the actual jacket rather than choosing by age alone.
Choosing and using this product
Consider how the jacket will be reached, worn and stored during a normal outing. It should be easy to identify among the boat’s equipment. Keep its operating and care instructions available, and review the complete jacket before each trip rather than checking only the outer cover.
When buying several jackets, plan sizes for the people who will use them rather than selecting every jacket by one nominal adult size. Keep each model reference with the boat’s equipment records so that subsequent care, replacement and servicing enquiries can be made accurately.
For an inflatable model, match future service components to its actual inflation mechanism and specified cylinder. For a foam model, inspect the fabric, fastenings and buoyant sections. Follow the instructions for the particular jacket; a similar appearance does not establish interchangeable parts.
The buoyancy level and the way the jacket operates are separate selection points. Read the listed operating method carefully and ensure the wearer understands it. Where inflation is required, familiarity with the activation sequence matters just as much as having the jacket available aboard.
