Put everyday essentials within reach
A well-positioned drink holder can make a cockpit or cabin seating area more convenient to use. Compare the listed diameter and mounting style with the containers you normally carry. Also consider how the holder sits alongside controls, seating and walkways so that its location works with the way you use the boat.
Selection and fitting
For a recessed model, check the required opening and the space behind the panel before cutting. For other mounting styles, confirm the surface and available clearance. Where adjustable or folding features are specified, allow room for their complete movement. Keep the holder clean and check its attachment during routine maintenance. If electrical lighting is part of the listed model, follow the supplied instructions for the appropriate connection.
For an accurate fit, distinguish the cut-out measurement from the overall size. The cut-out describes the opening in the mounting surface, while the overall size describes the space occupied by the fitted frame or face. Compare both with your boat and check any stated depth, radius or thickness requirements before altering an existing opening.
For a refit, take measurements before removing the existing item and retain a note of its position and orientation. This gives you a useful reference when checking the replacement and helps keep related fittings aligned throughout the job.
