Universal Outboard and Sterndrive Gear Oil Pump (RWB5390) is a replacement or installation option for the matching marine system. Pump screws onto lubricant bottles for gearbox filling through the supplied adaptors.

Fits 946ml and 3.78L bottles. Listed length: 185mm; diameter: 17mm. 3/8-inch adaptor: Johnson/Evinrude, Mercruiser, Speedmaster, Volvo Penta SX. M10 adaptor: Suzuki four-stroke and Honda. M8 adaptor: Yamaha, Honda, Mercury four-stroke, Nissan and Tohatsu.

### Choosing and using this product

Choose the adaptor by the gearbox service-port thread, using the engine or drive model information to confirm the fit. The listed brand applications are a guide to the supplied adaptor options, not a reason to force a thread that does not engage smoothly. Different models within one manufacturer’s range may need different service arrangements, so consult the gearbox instructions before starting the oil change.

Check the lubricant bottle size and attachment before use. Prepare the correct gear oil specified for the engine or drive, along with a suitable container for the drained oil. The pump transfers lubricant from the bottle; it does not determine the required oil grade, fill quantity or service sequence. Keep the hose, adaptor and bottle opening clean to avoid introducing dirt into the gearbox.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for draining, positioning the engine or drive, removing the relevant plugs and filling. Select the correct adaptor and fit it without cross-threading. Arrange the bottle and pump so they remain stable while you work, and keep the delivery connection under observation. Stop if oil leaks from an unexpected location or the adaptor does not seat properly.

Complete the service using the specified plug seals, tightening requirements and level-check procedure. Clean any spilled oil and dispose of used lubricant through an appropriate collection facility rather than drains or waterways. After use, clean and store the pump so its fittings remain protected from contamination. Keep the adaptor used, oil specification and service date with the boat’s maintenance notes to make the next gearbox service easier to prepare.
