    ### Nuova Rade Diablo Red Fuel Tank Hatch Lid and Fittings | Boat Equipment

Fuel hatch lid with gasket, suction pipes and threaded fittings.

A Diablo hatch component forms part of the tank’s configured service arrangement, so its purpose and connection sizes must match the intended installation.

### Choosing and using this product

Identify the existing tank and the required liquid service before choosing the hatch or spare fitting. Red, blue and brown assemblies serve different purposes, while a blank lid has no ready-made plumbing connections. Waste hatch versions also depend on tank body height, so check that dimension rather than selecting only by colour.

Allow room above and around the tank for the hatch, hose bends and later maintenance. Complete service lids add height to the tank assembly. Route fill, outlet and breather hoses without strain on the fittings, and keep each connection identifiable so maintenance does not accidentally interchange lines with different functions.

Clean the tank opening and inspect its sealing surface before assembly. Check the gasket and mating threads, follow the supplied fitting instructions and avoid forcing a connector that does not match. A threaded fitting must agree in both size and thread form; the hose tail must also match the hose intended for the tank’s contents.

Use the installed tank only for its assigned service, with appropriate hoses, vents and other components. Do not convert a contaminated fuel or waste system to drinking water merely by changing the lid. Check for leaks and secure hose support before use, then retain access to the hatch so seals, suction pipes and connections can be inspected without dismantling unrelated equipment.

Retain the part number and installation details with the tank records. This is particularly helpful where several similar hose tails are fitted to one lid and their thread sizes cannot be seen once connected.
