    ### Black Nylon Spring Tube Clip - 20mm, Pair | Marine Equipment & Boat Supplies

Adjustable black nylon spring clip for retaining tubes and equipment. Two fastening holes provided.

A dedicated retaining fitting helps keep loose equipment organised and close to hand, reducing the need to search beneath seats or inside crowded lockers.

### Choosing and using this product

Measure the outside diameter of the item at the point where it will be held. A tapered handle, rubber grip or oval tube may need a different position from a plain round shaft. Compare the stated tube size or adjustment range with that measurement before drilling, and check the listed supply quantity when planning a multi-point installation.

Position the fitting where the equipment can be removed without catching on a seat, hatch lid or nearby rope. Long poles generally need support at separated points to prevent rocking. Trial-position the complete item first, leaving enough room to pull it out of the retaining opening and return it without scraping adjacent surfaces.

Choose fixings to suit the mounting surface and the fitting holes. Check what is behind the panel before drilling, and avoid tightening screws so hard that a plastic base distorts. Where a fitting is placed on a thin panel, arrange suitable backing rather than relying on the skin alone. Installation strength depends on the substrate as well as the clip.

Check the grip with the actual equipment after installation. A storage clip is not a rated lifting point or a substitute for a transport restraint on heavy equipment. Inspect the base and fastening points periodically, rinse trapped salt and sand away, and replace a damaged fitting before cracks or loss of grip allow the item to move around.

For a replacement installation, compare the new base with the old screw positions before reusing any holes. Repair enlarged holes or select a sound mounting location rather than relying on loose fasteners to hold the equipment.
