    ### Two-Piece Adjustable Kayak Paddle - Orange and Yellow - for Small Boat Paddling

Double-bladed paddle with anodised aluminium shaft, asymmetrical blades, shaft grips and drip guards. Three-button locking collar provides straight or offset settings for left- or right-handed use.

### Choosing and using this product

Choose a paddle for the boat, the paddler and the intended seating position. Overall length affects reach to the water, while the grip and blade arrangement affect how the paddle is handled. Compare the dimensions with equipment already used comfortably, or try the intended position before committing to a storage or mounting arrangement.

Check the available space aboard as well as the working length. A paddle carried for occasional manoeuvring or backup use needs to remain accessible when other gear is loaded. Secure it so it cannot move into controls, obstruct a walkway or be lost while launching. If the selected model has a telescopic or separable shaft, familiarise yourself with its locking arrangement ashore before relying on it on the water.

Practise handling the paddle in calm, sheltered conditions. Keep a controlled grip and allow room for the blade to clear the hull and nearby fittings through the stroke. Choose a position that lets you maintain balance; avoid leaning beyond a comfortable reach simply to gain another stroke. A paddle should not be treated as a lifting beam or used to lever the boat off an obstruction.

After use, rinse off salt, sand and mud, paying attention to any joint or locking mechanism. Check the blade, shaft and grip for cracking, looseness or other damage before stowing. Let the equipment dry where practical and keep moving sections clean. For adjustable models, confirm that the selected length or blade position is securely locked each time it is assembled. Record the product code and dimensions with the boat’s equipment list so a replacement can be chosen without relying only on colour or appearance.
